CBIS 5110 Database Management

Prerequisite: CBIS 2200 with a C or better and acceptance into the Double Bobcat Program. This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of database management, including aspects of data models, database languages, and database design.

CBIS 5120 Business Intelligence & Analyt

Prerequisites: Accepted into the Double Bobcats Program. Basic computer literacy (CBIS 2200 preferred) and Introductory course in ERP (CBIS 3120 preferred) and Database Management (CBIS 4110 or CBIS 5110 preferred). This course presents an overview of the process of data analysis. Data analytics have moved out of the academic world of statisticians to the practical world of technology. This course will introduce you to highly sought-after skills in business, engineering, economics, government, services, science, health care and other domains. A variety of user-friendly technologies bring powerful analytical capabilities to end users. Three major areas that comprise analytics are reporting, visualization and prediction. This course uses the latest in technology to show the practice of data analytics in the real world. You will experience practical applications of analytics through guided exercises and case studies.

CBIS 5140 Strategic Enterprise Performan

Prerequisites: CBIS 4120 or CBIS 5120 with a C or higher and acceptance into the Double Bobcats Program. This MIS course introduces the implementation and design practices for enterprise performance management (EPM) systems with a focus on dashboards, balanced scorecard, and value-based management. EPM is a management field of Business Performance Management which considers the visibility of operations in a closed-loop model across all facets of the enterprise. Based on the mission and vision of an organization, different strategic needs may drive how EPM domains are leveraged and promoted within an organization. Students will explore the four disciplines that define and cover an EPM process model: strategy formulation, business planning and forecasting, financial management and supply claim effectiveness.

CBIS 5210 Full Stack & AI Development

Prerequisites: CBIS 3210 with a C or higher and acceptance into the Double Bobcats Program. The Generative AI Full Stack Development course is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding and practical skills in leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence for full-stack development. This course explores Fundamental programming, generative AI applications, and technological infrastructure, offering students a unique perspective on the fusion of AI innovation and system development.

CBIS 5220 Threat, Risk, & Security Mang.

Prerequisite: CBIS 3213 with a C or higher and acceptance into the Double Bobcats Program. Threat, Risk, and Security Management is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills for managing and mitigating security vulnerabilities and threats within complex information systems. In an era of persistent cyber threats, this course is tailored to provide students with the tools and expertise needed to identify, assess, and respond to security risks effectively.

CBIS 5230 UX and Project Management

Prerequisite: CBIS 3210 with a C or higher and acceptance into the Double Bobcats Program. The UX and Agile Project Management course is designed for students aiming to bridge the gap between User Experience (UX) design and project management, two critical aspects of successfully delivering digital products and services. This course explores advanced concepts in UX design and project management methodologies, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams while ensuring user-centric design.
