Prerequisite: FREN 1002 or equivalent. The student will continue to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and learn to communicate in culturally appropriate ways. One hour of language laboratory per week is required. Additional special course fee required; see semester course schedule for amount. This course is not open to native speakers of French or to students who completed two or more years of high school education in a French-speaking country where French was the primary language of instruction.
Prerequisite: FREN 2001 or equivalent. Students continue to increase linguistic and cultural proficiency through the use of a variety of materials and activities. Course will serve as a transition between intermediate and upper-level courses in French. Additional special course fee required; see semester course schedule for amount. This course is not open to native speakers of French or to students who completed two or more years of high school education in a French-speaking country where French was the primary language of instruction."
Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor. Consideration of topics in which courses are not otherwise offered, but for which there is a current need at the freshman/sophomore level. This course is repeatable for credit.
