Policy: Board of Regents Policy Manual Section 3.10, https://www.usg.edu/policymanual/section3/C345/
Georgia College’s bookstore, Barnes & Noble at Georgia College, operates at the renovated Campus Theatre less than half a block off the central campus.
The bookstore is contractually operated by Barnes & Noble College with the purpose of providing the GCSU community with necessary textbooks and supplies, as well as providing items such as general reading books, convenience and GCSU-emblematic clothing and gifts. The bookstore accepts cash, credit cards, tap pay, ZIP pay (buy now pay later) and CatCash (funds pre-deposited by cardholders to their GCSU Bobcat Card) for all purchases. The bookstore does not maintain charge accounts for individuals, although it does offer departmental charging for University offices.
The Campus Bookstore operates in a second location: in the lower level of The Russell Library, Books and Brew (offering general reading books, clothing, gifts, school supplies, and convenience store items).
Barnes & Noble at Georgia College is typically open Monday through Thursday 9am – 6pm, Friday 9am – 5pm and Saturday from 10am – 3pm. The bookstore is open extended hours during the first week of class each semester and for special events. The Books and Brew location is regularly open Monday through Thursday 9am – 3pm and Friday 9am – 2pm. If school supplies are needed after hours, there is a convenient vending machine located near the Books and Brew shop.
You can also shop 24/7 on the online bookstore gcsu.bncollege.com . All textbooks, clothing, gift items, general reading books, and more are available online. Textbooks that are required or recommended by GCSU faculty may be searched by course name, number, and section number. The online bookstore serves all GCSU students, alumni, supporters and community no matter where they are.
