School of Continuing and Professional Studies Policies
The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is embedded in Georgia College & State University’s public liberal arts mission. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ mission is to enrich the economic, cultural, personal, and professional lives of Georgians through high-quality educational programs and comprehensive conference and academic support services. The division offers a diverse and comprehensive slate of educational programs and services through its six departments: Continuing and Professional Education, Historic Museums, Afterschool Achievement, Communities in Schools Milledgeville/Baldwin County, Academic Outreach, and Production Services.
Continuing and Professional Education offers online and in-person courses, certificate programs, enrichment activities, camps, and conference services.
Historic Museums provides tours and events at two nationally recognized historic landmarks, the Old Governor’s Mansion and Andalusia, Home of Flanner O’Connor, along with tours and programs at the Sallie Ellis Davis House.
Afterschool Achievement provides middle and high school students a variety of career, academic, and youth development opportunities through the High Achievers Program (HAP) and Youth Enrichment Services (YES).
Communities in Schools provides resources in individual lives to influence change, break down barriers, and encourage success.
Academic Outreach engages students across the state in providing educational programs with outcomes associated with STEM initiatives.
Production Services supports the Georgia College campus and surrounding area in with event technology and logistical needs in non-classroom settings.
