CHEM 3712 Biochemistry II

Prerequisites: CHEM 3711 and CHEM 3711L. Corequisite: CHEM 3712L. Study of the chemistry of biological systems with emphasis on biosynthesis of the major classes of biomolecules, and their corresponding macromolecules. An in-depth exploration of structure and dynamics of nucleic acids in relation to their function. Second of a two-semester sequence. Offered only in the spring of even years. This is a HOPE and Zell Miller STEM course. (Capstone)
